Amon G. Carter Stadium, located on the campus of Texas Christian University (TCU) in Fort Worth, Texas, serves as the home venue for the TCU Horned Frogs football team. Named after Amon G. Carter, a prominent Fort Worth businessman, publisher, and TCU booster, the stadium opened on October 11, 1930, with TCU defeating Arkansas 40-0. Initially built at a cost of $350,000 with a capacity of 22,000, it has been a cornerstone of TCU athletics, hosting national championship-winning teams in 1935 and 1938 under coach Dutch Meyer.

Over the decades, the stadium underwent several expansions. In 1948, capacity increased to 30,500, followed by additions in 1951, 1953, and 1956, reaching 46,083 with an upper deck and press box. The 1980s and 1990s saw seating upgrades and a switch to natural grass in 1992. A major $164 million redevelopment from 2010 to 2012 rebuilt the structure above ground level, incorporating modern amenities while preserving the playing field. Funded entirely by donors, it featured implosions of old stands and added premium seating. A 2019 east-side expansion, costing $118 million, included luxury suites, clubs, and loge boxes, boosting capacity further.

Today, the stadium holds approximately 47,000 fans, with the field named W.A. "Monty & Tex" Moncrief Field since 2003. Key features include over 1,000 club seats, 22 luxury suites, two private clubs, a 100-foot outdoor balcony overlooking downtown Fort Worth, upgraded concessions, elevators, escalators, and ADA accommodations. The design blends Southwestern art deco style with TCU's purple and white colors, offering enhanced views and concourse visibility of the field.

Beyond TCU football, it hosts the annual Armed Forces Bowl since 2003 (except during 2010-2011 renovations) and has accommodated events like concerts, high school games, and a 2021 COVID-19 vaccination site serving over 19,000 doses. Record attendance hit 53,294 in 2023 against Colorado. As of July 2025, ongoing maintenance ensures it remains a premier college football venue, symbolizing TCU's athletic legacy and community impact.
