Celebrate America’s Semiquincentennial with our exclusive 250th Anniversary Jr Cap Pre-Tubed Wood Pen Blanks. These special edition blanks feature a patriotic Jr Cap designed as the centerpiece of the 250th anniversary series, paired with premium wooden pre-tubed lowers and single-tube options. 

Each Jr Cap is a distinctive 250th Anniversary edition, paired with our stabilized wooden pre-tubed pen blanks. The 250th Edition includes a wooden accent band on the lower half of the blank for a refined, commemorative look.

Available Configurations:

  • Jr Sets: Pre-tubed Jr Caps (12.5mm) paired with pre-tubed Jr Lowers (10.5mm) made from premium stabilized wood, featuring the 250th Anniversary Jr Cap design.
  • Sierra Clones: Pre-tubed single-tube blanks (27/64") with wooden accent band on the lower side, compatible with Sierra Twist-style pen kits.
  • Bolt Action: Pre-tubed single-tube blanks (3/8") with wooden accent band on the lower half, designed for bolt-action pen kits.

Craftsmanship:

Blanks are assembled with stabilized wood thins wrapped around and secured to the brass tube. These tubes are then cast in resin (color to match your theme) to ensure a smooth turning experience. All wood material is stabilized for enhanced durability and finish quality. Please allow up to two weeks for custom pre-tubed orders; limited inventory is available.

Turning Experience:

These blanks turn smoothly, yielding a rich, natural wood finish that highlights the unique grain and the elegant wooden accent band. The special 250th Anniversary Jr Cap adds a bold patriotic statement to your finished pens.

Each Jr Set includes a professionally designed Certificate of Authenticity printed on premium card stock, celebrating the 250th Anniversary of the United States.

Dial in sharp carbide or HSS tools, crank speeds to 2,000–3,000 RPM, and take feather-light cuts (0.005–0.015 inches). Wet-sand from 220 to 2,000 grit, zap pin-holes with thin CA glue, and finish with Magic Juice polish for a mirror finish.
