We take select chunks of this rare material and cast them into durable hybrid blanks using premium resin, resulting in eye-catching, one-of-a-kind pieces with enhanced stability and turnability.

Turning Tips for Best Results:

These hybrids turn more forgivingly than pure Fordite but still benefit from good technique:
Use sharp carbide tools like our Black Line carbide tools or HSS tools with light cuts at 2,000–3,000 RPM.
Sand wet from 220 up to 2,000 grit.
Fill any minor voids with thin CA glue as needed.
Finish with your favorite CA or Magic Juice polish for a deep, glossy shine that makes the colors pop.

Note: As with all Fordite and hybrid materials, minor variations, voids, or inclusions are part of the charm and history of the material. Blanks are sold as-is and are non-returnable due to their unique nature.
