About Wenge Wood

Wenge is a premium exotic hardwood native to the tropical rainforests of Central Africa, primarily from countries such as Cameroon, Gabon, Congo, and the Democratic Republic of Congo. Scientifically known as Millettia laurentii, it comes from large trees that can reach up to 90 feet tall with trunks 3–4 feet in diameter.

Renowned for its incredible density and hardness (Janka rating of 1,930 lbf), Wenge is exceptionally strong, durable, and resistant to rot and termites.
