Veterans Stadium, commonly known as the Vet, was a multi-purpose stadium located at the northeast corner of Broad Street and Pattison Avenue, as part of the South Philadelphia Sports Complex.

The Vet hosted the MLB Philadelphia Phillies and the NFL Philadelphia Eagles from 1971 to 2003. The Vet also hosted the annual Army-Navy game 17 times between 1980 and 2001. It was demolished 2004 after being replaced by the Citizens Bank Park and Lincoln Financial Field.

This material is guaranteed to be 100% Authentic.

Blanks are chunks of the green seats mixed with Philadelphia Eagles colored resin.

Lincoln Financial Field, also known as "The Linc", is a football stadium located in South Philadelphia, PA. It is the home stadium of the Philadelphia Eagles of the NFL and the Temple Owls football team of Temple University.

The Linc opened on August 3, 2003, with a seating capacity at nearly 70,000 after two years of construction replacing Veterans Stadium.

Lincoln Financial Field is also the primary home to the annual Army–Navy Game. The game has been played most often in Philadelphia. Prior to the Linc, it was played at Veterans Stadium until 2001, and prior to the Vet, at John F. Kennedy Stadium and Franklin Field.

Shibe Park, known later as Connie Mack Stadium, was the home of the Philadelphia Athletics and the Philadelphia Phillies. When it opened April 12, 1909, it became baseball's first steel-and-concrete stadium. The venue's two home teams won both the first and last games at the stadium: the Athletics beat the Boston Red Sox 8-1 on opening day 1909, while the Phillies beat the Montreal Expos 2-1 on October 1, 1970, in the park's final contest.

Lincoln Financial Field Stadium History

Lincoln Financial Field, affectionately known as "The Linc," is a modern multi-purpose stadium that serves as a vibrant centerpiece of the South Philadelphia Sports Complex in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It has been the primary home of the National Football League’s Philadelphia Eagles since opening in 2003 and also serves as the official home field for Temple University’s Temple Owls football team. This dual role strengthens the deep connection between professional and collegiate athletics in the city. With a seating capacity of approximately 67,594, the venue regularly hosts intense NFL matchups, Temple home games, major concerts, international soccer fixtures, and dozens of other large-scale events each year.

The stadium was built as a much-needed replacement for the outdated Veterans Stadium. Construction began on May 7, 2001, on a site adjacent to the old Vet at a total cost of around $512 million. Lincoln Financial Group secured naming rights in a 20-year agreement announced on June 3, 2002. The Eagles played their first preseason game at The Linc on August 3, 2003, with the regular-season home opener following soon after. Temple University quickly established its own presence at the venue, transitioning its home games to the modern facility and giving Owls fans access to a premier NCAA Division I stadium environment.
