These inserts are designed specifically for use with 3/4" PVC vertical casting molds. They fit cleanly inside standard PVC tubes, allowing makers to pour clear or tinted resin around the star shape for dramatic visual effects in finished pen blanks, bottle stoppers, or ring blanks.

Material & Dimensions

Each set includes eleven individual 3D printed stars, one in every color of the standard lineup. The prints are made from durable, resin-compatible filament that holds shape during casting and does not react with common Alumilite or similar casting resins.

Dial in sharp carbide or HSS tools, crank speeds to 2,000–3,000 RPM, and take feather-light cuts (0.005–0.015 inches) to dodge melting or gummy buildup.
