Chivas Brothers, a leading Scotch whisky producer owned by Pernod Ricard since 2001, is renowned for its premium blended whiskies, with Strathisla Distillery in Keith, Speyside, as its heart. Established in 1786, Strathisla is the oldest continuously operating distillery in the Scottish Highlands. Its single malt is the core component of Chivas Regal blends, known for creamy textures and flavors like brown butter, vanilla, and orchard fruits. The distillery employs traditional methods, using local Broomhill Spring water and wooden washbacks for fermentation, enhancing its signature full-bodied profile. Chivas operates 14 distilleries, including Aberlour and The Glenlivet, and recently announced a new carbon-neutral distillery on Islay at Gartbreck Farm, focusing on peated single malts. A £88 million investment in 2022 expanded Aberlour and Miltonduff distilleries, boosting production by 14 million liters annually and incorporating sustainable technologies like bio plants and Mechanical Vapour Recompression to achieve carbon-neutral distillation by 2026. Chivas Regal, sold in over 100 countries, remains a global leader, with expressions like Chivas 18 and 25 earning accolades for their complex flavor profiles.
