Sierra embedded blanks with Vietnam War Bell Huey UH-1F Iroquois metal material.
All blanks will come with one COA per blank.
COAs are 4" x 6" card stock with foil COA seal.
The Bell UH-1 Iroquois "Huey" is a utility military helicopter designed and produced by the American aerospace company Bell Helicopter. It is the first member of the prolific Huey family, as well as the first turbine-powered helicopter in service with the United States military.
Development of the Iroquois started in the early 1950s, a major impetus being a requirement issued by the United States Army for a new medical evacuation and utility helicopter. An initial production contract for 100 HU-1As was issued in March 1960. In response to criticisms over the rotorcraft's power, Bell quickly developed multiple models furnished with more powerful engine.
The Iroquois was first used in combat operations during the Vietnam War, the first examples being deployed in March 1962. It was used for various purposes, including conducting general support, air assault, cargo transport, aeromedical evacuation, search and rescue, electronic warfare, and ground attack missions. Armed Iroquois gunships carried a variety of weapons, including rockets, grenade launchers, and machine guns, and were often modified in the field to suit specific operations. The United States Air Force deployed its Iroquois to Vietnam, using them to conduct reconnaissance operations, psychological warfare, and other support roles.
The Iroquois was originally designated HU-1, hence the Huey nickname, which has remained in common use, despite the official redesignation to UH-1 in 1962.
Bell Helicopters was the winner of a 1963 United States Air Force competition for a support helicopter for use on its missile bases. The resulting UH-1F had the shorter cabin of the "Bravo" Huey, but with a longer tail boom, rotor and transmission. The iconic aircraft of the Vietnam War with the distinctive "wop-wop" of the Huey's rotor blades stirs the memories of the generation that came of age during the turbulent 1960s.
The UH-1F was introduced into the USAF inventory in February 1964. The USAF took delivery of 119 Huey with production ending in 1967. Many of the aircraft served in southeast Asia with the 20th Special Operations Squadron and some were converted to the armed UH-1P configuration.

Gator Chomp into Swamp Supremacy – Snag Your Gator Grit Gem!
Picture chomping a victory snap with a pen slashed from seats that quaked in The Swamp's steamy roar, or uncorking SEC toasts with a stopper surging in orange-and-blue blaze. From championship rings reliving Heisman hauls to tailgate-tough knives carving gator-tail feasts—each relic is lathe-forged from bona fide stadium shards, snapping playoff pandemonium into heirloom hunts. Rally your row and let the Gators' ferocious frenzy electrify every twist!
Ben Hill Griffin Stadium: Gators' Swampy Shrine of Gridiron Greatness
Ben Hill Griffin Stadium, infamously dubbed "The Swamp," lurks in the humid heart of the University of Florida's Gainesville campus, a gator-infested fortress of Southeastern Conference fury since its muddy inception. Construction churned the soil on April 16, 1930, birthing Florida Field as a $200,000 concrete cradle that flung open on October 27 with a capacity of 21,769—dedicated in a sellout spectacle on November 8 when the Gators mauled Alabama 20-0 before 21,769 sun-soaked fans, called by budding broadcaster Red Barber. Renamed in 1989 for tireless Gator booster and citrus magnate Ben Hill Griffin Jr., whose philanthropy fueled expansions, it embodies UF's relentless rise from 1906 Fleming Field frolics to national powerhouse status.
Swelling from humble stands to a thunderous 88,548 capacity on lush natural grass (standard 120x53-yard SEC battlefield), The Swamp brews bone-jarring intimacy where the furthest fan feels the turf tremble—dimensions a pitcher's dream: 83 feet to foul poles, 360 to alleys, 360 to center under those iconic palms. Expansions roared in epochs: 1950's west-side surge to 40,116, 1966's east stands ballooning to 62,800, 1982's south end zone skyboxes hitting 72,000, and 1991's $17 million north end zone vaulting to 83,000 for record roars like 85,461 vs. FSU. Later lifts—1990's grass revival, 2003's $50 million luxury lofts and suites, 2009's HD video walls, 2012's west concourse glow-up—fuse swampy soul with state-of-the-art snap, all sans state funds from private Gator grit.
Fortress of the Florida Gators for nine decades, The Swamp has swallowed three national championships (1996, 2006, 2008—all home-fueled feasts), 10 SEC titles, and Heisman heroes like Steve Spurrier (1966), Danny Wuerffel (1996), and Tim Tebow (2007) amid 800+ victories and sellout streaks since 1984. Steve Spurrier's 1991 quip—"True dat: A swamp is where Gators live"—ignited its mythic moniker, pulsing with "Gator Bait" chants, 2011 Heisman statues, and upsets like the 1990s FSU fumbles. Beyond gridiron glory, it hosts concerts, graduations, and cattle shows, etching Gainesville's humid heartbeat into lore. As Gators grapple for gridiron gold, Ben Hill Griffin Stadium endures as a steamy testament to tenacity, triumphs, and timeless terror in college football's bayou.

Benjamin Franklin Birthplace

All blanks will come with one COA per blank. COAs are 4" x 6" card stock with silver foil embossed COA seal.
All blanks are cut as they are ordered.
------------------------------------------------------------
Benjamin Franklin was born on January 17, 1706 in Boston, MA, in what was known as the Massachusetts Bay Colony. He was born in a small house at 17 Milk Street, across the street from the Old Meeting House. Franklin was born in this house and lived there for six years with his father Josiah, mother Abiah, and his 16 siblings. Benjamin was the 15th child and youngest son.
Franklin stated that he was born at the corner of Hanover and Union Street in Boston, but according to the Bostonian Society he was mistaken. Records show that Josiah Franklin was a tenant at 17 Milk Street from 1685 to 1712, where Benjamin was born in 1706. The family later moved to Hanover and Union Street, where his father's soap and candle shop was located. Benjamin lived there with his family until the age of 17, when he decided to leave for Philadelphia.
The current building that stands on 17 Milk Street is not the original where Franklin was born. The original building was destroyed by a fire in 1811, making room for the building that stands there today. There is a bust of Franklin commemorating his birthplace on the second floor facade of the building. The inscription on the wall reads “Birthplace of Franklinâ".
Hardin Penworks, LLC, certifies that the wood supplied to the artisan of the accompanying item was sourced from the historic spruce wood beams of the building currently occupying the original home of Benjamin Franklin on Milk Street.

Big Leaf Maple Burl & Swirl Wood Blanks [Stabilized] - Premium Pacific Northwest
Product Specifications
Blank Sizes: Each pen blank is a minimum of 5" long × 3/4" × 3/4" square.
Material: Genuine Big Leaf Maple Burl & Swirl (Acer macrophyllum) — Fully Stabilized.
Material Story
These exceptional pen blanks are crafted from premium **Big Leaf Maple Burl and Swirl** — one of the most beautiful and highly sought-after figured woods in North America. Each piece displays stunning, chaotic swirls, eyes, and intricate burl patterns that create a mesmerizing visual effect.
Because raw Big Leaf Maple burl is often unstable due to its wild grain and density variations, we fully stabilize every blank using a premium resin process. This stabilization penetrates deep into the wood, making it rock-solid, resistant to cracking or warping, and much easier to turn while beautifully enhancing the natural colors and figure.
The result is a stable, high-contrast blank with incredible chatoyance and depth that turns smoothly and finishes to a stunning, glass-like polish. These blanks are perfect for creating show-stopping pens, knife handles, and other fine turned projects.
About Big Leaf Maple Burl Wood
Big Leaf Maple (Acer macrophyllum), also known as Oregon Maple, is native to the Pacific Northwest of North America — primarily along the coast from California through British Columbia. It is one of the largest maple species in the world and is world-renowned for producing some of the most spectacular burl and swirl figure available.
The burl formations occur where the tree experiences stress or injury, resulting in dense clusters of dormant buds that create highly figured wood with dramatic swirling grain, birdseye, and lace-like patterns. Colors typically range from creamy white to golden-tan with darker highlights that pop beautifully after stabilization and finishing.
Stabilized Big Leaf Maple Burl is a favorite among serious woodturners because it combines extreme beauty with excellent workability. The stabilization process locks in the figure, prevents movement, and enhances the natural chatoyance (the way light dances across the grain).
Owning a stabilized Big Leaf Maple Burl blank means you’re working with a true natural masterpiece — a rare piece of Pacific Northwest hardwood that transforms into one-of-a-kind, museum-quality turned pieces.
Bird's Eye Maple Pen Blanks – 5" × ¾" Square
Scientific Name: Acer saccharum (primarily)
Common Names: Bird's Eye Maple, Birdseye Maple
Origin
Bird's Eye Maple grows across the temperate forests of North America, with the highest-quality figured stock most commonly sourced from the Great Lakes region, particularly Michigan, Wisconsin, Minnesota, and parts of Canada. The distinctive "bird's eye" figure is a rare natural occurrence caused by localized fiber distortions in the tree.
Description & Characteristics
Bird's Eye Maple is one of the most unique and sought-after figured woods for pen turning. It features hundreds of small, swirling "eyes" or speckles throughout the grain that create a beautiful three-dimensional effect. The background wood is typically a creamy white to pale golden color, providing excellent contrast to the darker eyes. This figure gives finished pens a luxurious, almost shimmering appearance under finish.
These premium 5" × ¾" square pen blanks are pre-squared, kiln-dried, and carefully selected for good density of bird's eye figure, making them ideal for turning elegant single-barrel or slimline pens that showcase this rare natural beauty.
Turning Tips for Bird's Eye Maple
- Figure & Chatoyancy: The tiny "eyes" create a striking 3D effect that really comes alive with a high-gloss finish and proper lighting.
- Workability: Turns cleanly with sharp carbide or high-speed steel tools. Take light cuts to minimize tear-out around the eyes.
- Stability: Generally stable when properly dried, though highly figured pieces can sometimes have minor tension — these blanks are selected for turning reliability.
- Sanding & Finishing: Sands smoothly and takes CA glue, friction polish, shellac, or most pen finishes beautifully, enhancing the depth and pop of the bird's eye figure.
- Dust & Safety: Produces fine dust — always use good dust extraction and wear a respirator.
Perfect for pen turners who want a rare, high-end look with incredible visual interest. Bird's Eye Maple creates pens that feel premium and spark conversation in any collection.

The McDonnell Douglas F/A-18A Hornet, a twin-engine, carrier-capable multirole fighter, transformed naval aviation with its adaptability. Nicknamed the "Rhino," it first flew on November 18, 1978, and entered service in 1983. Powered by two General Electric F404-GE-402 engines, each generating 17,750 pounds of thrust, it reaches Mach 1.8 at 40,000 feet. Its fly-by-wire system, a production fighter first, ensures precision handling. Armed with a 20mm M61A1 cannon and capable of carrying 13,700 pounds of ordnance, including AIM-9 Sidewinders and AGM-65 Mavericks, the Hornet excelled in air-to-air and air-to-ground roles. In Operation Desert Storm, it downed enemy aircraft and struck ground targets in single missions. The F/A-18A served the U.S. Navy, Marine Corps, and the Blue Angels from 1986 to 2020, showcasing its agility at airshows worldwide.
These pen blanks are crafted from the authentic fuselage of F/A-18A Hornet, Bureau Number 161973, preserving its storied legacy. Perfect for aviation enthusiasts, veterans, or collectors, they turn a piece of this legendary aircraft into a timeless writing instrument.

Ocean City is an Atlantic resort town in Maryland along the East Coast of the United States. The population was 6,844 at the 2020 U.S. census, but during summer weekends the city hosts up to 345,000 vacationers and up to eight million visitors annually. During the summer, Ocean City becomes the second most populated municipality in Maryland, after Baltimore.
The Ocean City Boardwalk currently runs from South 2nd Street at the Ocean City Inlet in South Ocean City, up to 27th Street in South Ocean City. The boardwalk is home to food, shops, arcades, and amusements.
Originally called the "Atlantic Avenue", the first Ocean City boardwalk was constructed in 1902. After being damaged by a storm in 1962, the boardwalk was rebuilt to stretch a total of 2.25 miles, which is still its length today. Many years later the boardwalk would suffer extensive storm damage during Hurricane Gloria in 1985 which pummeled Ocean City with 89 mph winds. The boardwalk was refurbished, and a concrete sea wall was soon constructed following the storm to prevent further damage. The aftermath of Hurricane Gloria led to the first phase of extensive beach replenishment projects in Ocean City.
The Ocean City Boardwalk was damaged again in 2012 as a result of Hurricane Sandy. The boardwalk was flooded and half of it was destroyed as a result of the water coming so far onto shore. The boardwalk has since been rebuilt back to its original length and still attracts many tourists and families.
Sierra and Bolt embedded blanks with WWII Boeing B-29 Superfortress.
All blanks will come with one COA per blank.
COAs are 4" x 6" card stock with foil COA seal.
The Boeing B-29 Superfortress, commonly known as the Superfortress, is a cornerstone of U.S. Army Air Forces strategic bombing capabilities. Introduced in 1944, this subsonic, four-engine propeller-driven heavy bomber was designed for high-altitude long-range missions, enabling it to deliver massive payloads while evading enemy defenses. Powered by four Wright R-3350 Duplex-Cyclone radial engines, each producing 2,200 horsepower, the B-29 can carry up to 20,000 pounds of bombs. Its range exceeds 3,250 nautical miles, extendable with aerial refueling in later variants, making it a pivotal platform for Pacific theater operations.
The B-29’s effectiveness is achieved through its pressurized cabin, remote-controlled defensive turrets, and advanced Norden bombsight, allowing for precise high-altitude bombing and crew safety. A notable component is the aluminum skin, which provides essential lightweight construction and structural integrity. For instance, a section of aluminum skin from such an aircraft, salvaged after decommissioning and use as a ground target for weapons testing, highlights the material’s critical role in enduring combat and environmental stresses. This skin was later repurposed, reflecting ongoing preservation efforts for historical aircraft parts.
